After a five year hiatus three of the four members of Black Army Jacket, as well as members of Milhouse, Human Remains and Discordance Axis, have come together to create their heaviest and most scathing project to date in the form of Hope Collapse. Taking their influences from bands like Assuck, Voivod and Discharge, Hope Collapse creates a sound that is deafeningly heavy and sonically crushing all the while keeping the music rooted in the spectrum of the hardcore/punk aesthetic. Their new six track CDep, Year of the Leper, showcases the band's sonically discordant songwriting and diverse influences and music experience. Recorded by Chris Pierce of Doc Hopper, mixed by Mike Hill of Anodyne and mastered by Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer.
